Dettol is an antiseptic detergent I use in the tattoo studio so it’s quite handy :)
It doesn’t damage the regular GW plastic (I don’t know about resin though so no promises there) and it cleans up both paint and primer really nicely. It does kind of dissolve the Rackham pre-paint minis though, a friend of mine had a try at cleaning his and they felt a little soft and mushy afterwards.

I usually let the minis sit in a Dettol-bath for a few hours, then scrub them with a brush (holding them in the Dettol, holding them under the tap with running water will wash off the Dettol and makes the paint go all sticky), then I pour another bath of Dettol and repeat.
As the paint dissolves into the Dettol it gets sort of saturated with paint and muddy, which is why I change it to a fresh bath (I’ve got two bottles – 1 bath and 2 bath), I find that it lets me get more paint off the minis. I have been reusing my Dettol a few times, so you don’t need to buy a new bottle every time. Of course, one bath might be sufficient if there’s not a lot of paint on your mini.
After the baths I clean the mini again in soap and water.

It’s not dangerous to use, and you can pour it out in the sink so no hassle there, do use gloves though (like dishwashing gloves, latex/nitrile and such one-use gloves aren’t made for detergents and will not hold out for very long), It’s quite strong so prolonged exposure to your hands isn’t all that good, it’ll dry out the skin. It has quite a strong smell too, you don’t want that clinging to your hands ;)
I’ve found the smell can cling to minis for a while as well, but airing them out will get rid of it.

I started painting the metals like a week ago but got stuck cause I had no idea what colors to use for the cloth.  I wanted something a bit pale though, think this turned out quite nice.

My friends (who have made a lot of Mordheim homes) have been telling me forever that I should make one too, finally got around to it now.
It’s not for Mordheim or anything in particular, just something I’m making for fun and because I love the house that I’m trying to replicate. It’s the first time I’ve ever built a house so I didn’t feel like worrying too much about size and how it would look in any terrain. It should be a reasonable size for a 30mm mini though. I think.

I’m building it to resemble a house from one of my favourite movies, it’s sort of my dreamhouse, when I have enough money, this is the house I’m gonna build for myself.
Maybe you recognize it? If not I hope it’s because of your lack in pop-cultural references and not my shortcomings in housebuilding.

I asked a friend of mine to help me make a mask, so we made a few each and are working on the shapes now, lots of feathers and beads and gold to come.

I have two of him actually. It’s the smaller one of the Rackham dragons. Never ever thought I’d get one of these, especially not two of them.
This one will be ice.

I’m painting these guys up for my Confrontation team.

It’s the Howling Pack. They come in a box together.
Though I think I got all of them separately actually, they ended up together anyway.
Likaï is doubling as a woodelf for tag-team so he’s on a Warhammer base. It will have to do though :)
I’ll have better photos of these later.

I’ve made some progress with Managarm as well.

My Sanguine color was out and about for a while so I kinda got stuck there.
Mostly because I didn’t feel like blending a matching color.
I had to glue her to a base because she was so wobbly on the cork, didn’t want her to fall and chip. I think I forgot to wash her off before I primed her because she chips quite easily. I’m hoping some varnish will make a difference.
Probably won’t ;)

Backside.

The skull on the staff is from some 40k orcbits, I sculpted some new horns and added some dangly bits.

He’s got some important shamanstuff in his belt, book on herbs and potions, a scroll with ancient writing, herb pouch and a sickle.
I’m thinking of adding some potion bottles as well. Maybe.

The crow is an insta-mold copy I made from the Nurgle lord from GW, the one riding a rotted horse. The bird comes with a sign but I didn’t want to cut them apart so I just made a copy of it.

My Ashen Tyr priestess got an owlfriend while I was casting some birds :)

Also painted my Sara from Helldorado. She’s almost done, some detailing left, like her face, hair and feet. I’d like to paint some patterns on her dress as well but I haven’t figured out what yet.

She was badly miscast when I got her, she has a moldline right across her face (I even got a replacement but it was just the same). So I sculpted some extra hair to cover most of it so she looks decent.

Another of my Helldorados (I’ve only got two actually, not counting the tiny deamons or what they are that came with these).
Made her a bright orange, the silk bands will be green.
